More4 Rebrand

Media_httpmanvsmachin_ccdwk

Overview of the new More 4 branding from ManvsMachine. The new identity feels playful, fresh and friendly - probably due to the slightly rounded triangles, bright primary colours and the child like nature of the flipping little panels.

The range of colours goes someway to highlight the diversity of the programmes shown, and there is a nostalgic nod back to the old channel 4 logo (and their roots of producing cutting edge tv) with the use of colours and simple animation.

V&A Power of making

Ceramic eye patch by Damian O'Sullivan - If only pirates had these back in the day. Other ceramic items included a neck brace and crutch, beautifully impractial.

3D type face for Wired Magazine

Have seen this on a few design blogs recently, works nice as a condensed display font and unlike 3D fonts of yesteryear actually feels that if you turned the page the shadow and depth would move with you. Don't think it's commerically available but is rather nice to look at - there are a few more examples on the Studio 8 site if you're interested.

Back to the Start - Chipotle Mexican Grill

Great piece of stop motion animation - thought it was 3D at first. Feels much more impressive when you see the time and effort gone into produce something like this, adds to it's charm and overall you feel the attention to detail and potentially the message they are trying to communicate is a little more sincere...
